Flux Mopeds produces small electric vehicles for short distance transportation. Our flagship is the Flux EM1, an electric moped that tops out at 38mph and gets up to 50 miles per charge.
We started up in Madison, Wisconsin to better understand how small electric vehicles could help people in their daily lives. It took a while to get our footing and after experiments in a number of different markets, we pivoted to focusing on the RV market. Our inspiration for that decision was a gentleman name Dennis Siemsen who gave us a call, told us about the problems he and his wife had getting around short distances while RVing, and how he believed the Flux EM1 could help solve that problem.
Through our research, we discovered that for many RVers, getting around short distances can be difficult. Breaking camp just to go to the store is a hassle and it doesn’t always makes sense to tow a car. The Flux EM1 is a great fit as an RVers Local Ride because it is the perfect level of performance for around the campground and to town that is a blast to ride, easy to haul and extremely low maintenance.
The Flux EM1 is fun and convenient but that’s not enough. We learned that for the Flux EM1 to really work for RVers it also had to be easy to use.
